GL Homes began construction on Valencia Lakes in 2005 with more homes being added with the goal of reaching 1,540. Buyers love being able to choose from a variety of single-family and attached homes. Home styles fit into four separate collections: Regal Twin Villas, Signature, Crown, and Royal, each with several models and floor plans.

Regal Twin Villas is the community’s collection of attached homes. They range in size from 1,321 to 1,857 square feet and include one to three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two-car garages.

Single-family homes in the Signature Collection run from 1,597 to 2,175 square feet of living space and have two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two-car garages.

The Crown Collection includes 1,791 to 2,409 square feet of living space, two to four bedrooms, two or three bathrooms, and two-car garages.

The Royal Collection has homes running 2,180 to 3,273 square feet and offers two to four bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half bathrooms, and two or three-car garages.

Homes at Valencia Lakes start in the mid $200s and the biggest of the single-family homes top out in the high $500s. All homes feature single-story living with spacious great rooms, gourmet kitchens, elegant master suites, den space, flex rooms, and ample outdoor space. Homes at Valencia Lakes also have the added benefit of being low maintenance.

The homeowners’ association fee covers outdoor maintenance, including lawn care and irrigation.

Valencia Lakes has a host of resort-style amenities that make it one of the premier 55+ communities in the Tampa Bay Area. Its focal point is the 40,000 square-foot clubhouse, featuring a state-of-the-art fitness center, aerobics and dance studio, steam room, sauna, and locker rooms. Residents also have access to a restaurant, internet café, multi-purpose room, grand ballroom with stage, game room, arts and crafts studio, card room, and billiards.

Outdoors, there’s a resort-style pool, spa, and a resistance pool. Residents can use the six Har-Tru tennis courts, four pickleball courts, four bocce ball courts, two shuffleboard courts, two horseshoe pits, half basketball court, and softball field. Other outdoor amenities include a tot lot, dog park, gardening plot, as well as miles of walking and biking trails.

Between the almost limitless amenities and expansive list of social groups and clubs, active adults will never lack options. Valencia Lakes has a full-time activities director who is always looking to cater to the diverse community, including creating over 50 social groups and classes. Some of these include quilting, ceramics, drama, dance club, golf club, jazz club, gardening, and poker.

There is plenty of great shopping and dining in the region and there are several professional sports teams that call the Tampa Bay Area home. Just outside the community in Sun City Center are many retail and dining options. Everyday shopping conveniences are within five minutes of Valencia Lakes and a new Walmart is just a mile down the road.
Golfers love being just across the street from Caloosa Golf and Country Club. Also nearby is Scepter Golf Club, Sandpiper Golf Club, and Summerfield Crossings Golf Club.

Outdoor lovers enjoy being near several lakes, beaches, and green space like Little Manatee River State Park. The community is also just a short drive away from Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Residents looking for a vacation can fly out of Tampa International Airport.
