Although Lithia is all about its spectacular natural surroundings, the local eats don’t disappoint. FishHawk Pizza is a homestyle pizzeria with tasty eats, from buttery garlic rolls to cheesy New York-style pies and slices. This family-friendly spot has a game room for the kids and sports on the TV for the adults, with beer and wine to go around. FishHawk also serves home-cooked dinners, from subs and salads to Phillies and wings. There's even an adorable pet-friendly patio where you can sit outside and enjoy your meal. Rick’s Custom Meats is a charmingly rustic deli where you can pick up fresh and juicy steaks to grill at home or enjoy a nice sandwich made in-shop. They’re known for their exotic selection of meats, such as bison, elk, venison, and gator, as well as their famous banana pudding and sweet tea. For shopping needs, head over to Shops of FishHawk or Park Square Plaza. There are also other shopping centers and malls with multiple big-name brands and businesses in nearby Valrico.
Things to Do
There are plenty of ways to get outside and get active in Lithia. The FishHawk Aquatic Center is a great space for residents to gather—whether in the large lagoon-style pool equipped with a waterfall and a water slide, the competition pool or volleyball pool, or the impressive fitness facility. To top it all off, there is also a covered playground and a snack bar—the perfect treat after an afternoon of swimming. At Alderman's Ford Regional Park and Alafia State Park, you can hike one of their trails or fish on the lake in a canoe. You can also bird watch, paddle, or boat at the launch, as well as bike, walk the dog, or even ride horses. Lithia celebrates the big days, most notably the exciting Turkey Trot around Thanksgiving. There are multiple races for residents of all ages, and it’s all for a great cause.
